Blaundos is an ancient city founded in 334 BC,during the Macedonian Kingdom in ancient Lydia, close to the Phrygian border. Nowaday within the border of Sülümenli village.Blaundos, the border city of the Pergamon Kingdom, came under the control of the Roman Empire in 189 BC. Maintaining its importance in this period, the city was connected to the Sebaste episcopate center in the 5th century AD.
