Proro-hsitorical necropolis, cut into the clay terraces. Built over by a now ruined Buddhist sacred precinct.

Buried remains of an ancient urban area, at the junction of the Saidu and Jambil rivers, partially surveyed and excavated by IsMEO in the 1950's. Probable location of Maurya and medieval Mungali city.

Butkara I - Dhumat ‘ala (1 km)

Buddhist Sacred Precinct, centered around a large stupa, built in Mauryan times. Active until the early 8th c. CE. Identified as the pilgrimage place of Dhumat ‘ala / T'olo in Oddiyana.
