Front-side view of a model of the Cologne Capitol at Cologne Archaeological Zone, model built by Atelier Dieter Cöllen GmbH (2008)
The Temple of the Capitoline Trias has been erected in the south-eastern corner of the city - likely under the emperors Trajan (98-117) or Hadrian (117-138).
The foundations of the temple are mostly preserved under the later Romanesque church of St. Maria im Kapitol.
